Michael has a unique set of skills he brings to his current
occupations. Not only is Michael a Licensed Real Estate Agent he is also a
Licensed Professional Counselor. He has also worked extensively in Information
Technology roles.
Born and raised in the Virginia suburbs of Washington, D.C., for most of his childhood both his parents and grandparents were involved in real estate. His grandfather was integral in the development of Tyson's Corner and the family brokerage his grandfather opened in 1947 is still run by his family.
Shortly after graduating from high school Michael received his real estate license for the first time and went off to Virginia Tech to study Architecture. Michael then joined Cru (formerly known as Campus Crusade for Christ) working in various roles including graphic design and corporate information technology for nearly 13 years.
In 2006 Michael married his wife Rebecca and in 2010 their family of 2 dogs were joined by a baby boy. Michael went back to school at Virginia Commonwealth University earning a Master in Rehabilitation Counseling degree. For several years he worked in the counseling field in various roles including case management, mental health counseling, residential treatment, and addiction counseling. In 2010 Michael and his wife welcomed their son into their family which included a chocolate lab and Schipperke.
Since 2012 Michael has been a life coach and counselor for a limited number of clients, spending most of his time actively engaged in real estate to help others understand and participate in buying and selling real estate. He also often teaches other agents how to leverage technology to be more effective in servicing clients.
